About Dr. Abeler

Dr. Steve Abeler was born and raised in the Anoka area. After graduating from Anoka Senior High in 1977, he attended seven years of college in completing his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree. He joined his father, Dr. Jim Abeler, Sr., and his older brother Dr. Jim Abeler, II, in practice in 1984 at the Abeler Chiropractic Clinic in Anoka and after 18 years, he founded the Andover clinic in 2002.

Dr. Abeler’s interest in chiropractic started early as he observed his Dad, Dr. Jim Abeler, Sr., treat so many different kinds of health challenges without the use of drugs. He recalls that many times when relatives and friends were at his home, his dad was always willing to offer his help to them through chiropractic because he believed so much in what he was doing. Dr. Abeler realized at a young age that the body indeed had its own ability to heal itself and that it often time just needed help from someone like his Dad to help people get healthier and feel better with Chiropractic care. Dr. Steve Abeler is very proud to follow in his father’s very big and much admired footsteps.

Dr. Abeler currently lives in Andover with his wife Annie and their five children. His interests are many, including enjoying the outdoors, fishing, running, and mostly cheering on and playing sports and doing life with his kids.
